Camp food in Lugano and a nighttime visitor

Christening the cooker and pan

The cooker balanced on my book, food chopped on the base plastic of a shopping bag, matches from my mum’s collection, and dog starting off on his laid flat bed in the sunshine.

Curried noodles with spinach, ginger and tofu
Baspie loved it but didn’t want to get out of his bed as the evening chilled

At 4am we wondered what was snuffling and scrabbling in the outer tent. I found out in the dark when I put my hand down and felt prickles. Any other animal would run away, but a prickly one can curl up.

The late dinner guest hedgehog enjoyed the soya yoghurt, which he ate noisily about an hour after we first disturbed him, when he felt relaxed enough.

Baspie dog only barked once, and restrained himself admirably while on full alert and cuddled inside the tent.

  1. I really enjoyed reading your post about your camping trip and cooking curry noodles with spinach, ginger, and tofu. It sounds like you had a great time, especially with the hedgehog dinner guest! I’m curious, how did you come up with the idea to add tofu to your noodles? Did it end up being a good combination?
