Railway dog explores Maribor, Slovenia

Initially a bit disappointed with the small scale of the mountains and the towniness of the area, we headed up the bubble lift. Baspie was chill floating in it, his first was back in Lugano. Not much different to a train really.

Path was rather dull and told you what a future without snow will look like
Back at camp we set up the tent. Baspie right at home
What a cool campsite – sheltered tables (with plug sockets nearby for phones), fridges, kettle and microwave and even a few mugs
So dinner was easy and yummy – especially with Croatian plant based mayo
The next day we borrowed a campsite bike and cycled up the River Drava which joins the Danube far away in Serbia. Wildlife scurried under rocks
At last, a lizard that stayed still long enough to photograph – I had been trying since Koblenz!
A former/replica logging raft (steered both ends agnostically)
Baspie didn’t like coming down the steps of the viewing tower so checked he had to. He thought we should go on the road bridge above
Cycle path (discontinuous) along the Drava seen from the viewing tower
Maribor defensive tower, rather Game of Thrones
