Blindfolds on statues represent the willful failure of states to face the facts and listen to the science of the IPCC. Solutions exist to limit the climate crisis, but only by substantial change that requires government and business leadership. Tell the truth governments, as tweeking at the edges is not enough.

Kolping was a 19th century campaigner for fair working conditions, for social justice. This lovely sounding guy very likely would have campaigned for climate action too, to save the people he cared about.
The ‘this is an emergency’ sign is made from a slice of crenulated chloritic schist, found in the hills nearby. You can tell a climate rebelling geologist has been here! The next day the sign was still up. I guess it looks quite official. It’s actually only balanced there 😀

Everything this little boy does and consumes and his future choices and voting will impact whether this girl has a liveable environment or is forced to migrate to his land, which will also be under climate and biodiversity stress.
