A relaxing start to the Interrail adventure. We booked on the overnight Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry as one of the two foot passenger options to Europe with a dog.

You can check in from 8:30pm. There’s a tiny outside deck with a sod of real grass plus astroturf to wee and poo. En suite pet cabins can be booked. So much more relaxing than a kennel, tho that’s an option too. Some dogs are a bit more stressed by the situation I can hear. Baspie is just snoozing.

At the moment there’s no arrangement between Interrail and Stena, so you have to pay the full fare. But at least that makes booking simple. My first Interrail travel day started the next day.
